PMRDA Senior Consultant / Consultant in Environment Planning Recruitment 2026

PMRDA is hiring an Environment Planning professional to align land-use strategies with sustainability goals, environmental regulations and climate objectives during Structure Plan preparation.

Key details

• Vacancies: 1 post.
• Tenure: 6 months on contract.
• Remuneration: As per experience.
• Maximum age: 50 years, considered as on 1 April 2026.

Eligibility

Full-time degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Planning with a post-graduate degree in Environment Planning or an equivalent qualification recognized by AICTE/UGC.

Mandatory experience: Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in environment planning.

Preferred experience: Environmental planning or management, ecological planning, sustainable urban development, GIS-based environmental analysis such as slope and hydrology buffers, government/public sector or infrastructure sector work, and knowledge of Indian environmental laws and regulations.

Role focus

• Identify environmental concerns and suggest planning or strategic mitigation measures.
• Review public utilities, services, sewage treatment, solid waste management and groundwater recharge strategies.
• Map ecological features such as lakes, rivers, natural drains, forests, HTHS and eco-sensitive areas.
• Prepare implementation plans, documentation, stakeholder consultation support and data-gap analysis.
