PMRDA GIS Expert Recruitment 2026

PMRDA is hiring GIS Experts to lead GIS strategy, spatial database design and advanced analysis for Structure Plan preparation.

• Vacancies: 2 posts.
• Tenure: 6 months on contract.
• Remuneration: ₹70,000 per month.
• Maximum age: 45 years, considered as on 1 April 2026.

Eligibility

Minimum M.Sc. in Geoinformatics, GIS or Remote Sensing, or M.Tech in Geoinformatics, GIS or Remote Sensing.

Mandatory experience: Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in GIS.

Preferred experience: Smart Cities, AMRUT or Master Planning projects; Web GIS or dashboard development; enterprise RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server; ArcSDE, UML modelling, API integration, ArcGIS Pro, PostGIS, Python/ArcPy, Spatial Analyst or Network Analyst.

Role focus

• Design GIS strategy, data model, standards, metadata and data-governance framework.
• Integrate transport, land-use and environmental datasets for network, accessibility and suitability analysis.
• Lead remote sensing, spatial modelling, scenario comparison, GIS quality assurance and thematic mapping.
• Support GIS portals, web GIS applications, visualization tools and the Town Planning Officer.
