Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (candidates must hold one of the following from a recognised institution):

  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Town Planning, or
  • A Master's degree (M.Plan) in Urban Planning / Town Planning / Housing Planning / Rural Planning / Infrastructure Planning / Regional Planning / Transportation & Traffic Planning / Landscape Architecture / Urban Design / Environmental Planning, or
  • A passed AITP (Associate of the Institute of Town Planners, India) examination

Not accepted: A standalone B.E. or M.E. degree in Transportation/Transport Engineering does not qualify for this post.

Age Calculation: Age is calculated as of 1 January 2027, based on the date of birth recorded in the candidate's 10th-standard (High School) certificate.

Employment Registration (रोज़गार पंजीयन):

  • Candidates from outside Madhya Pradesh are exempt from employment exchange registration, per the Jabalpur High Court's final order dated 08.03.2022 in Writ Petition No. 5096/2022.
  • Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates don't need registration at the time of application, but must submit a valid live registration certificate at the interview stage.
  • Government/semi-government employees who are MP residents are exempt from this requirement if they submit a No Objection Certificate from their department.

  1. Written Examination — An OMR-based, objective-type exam conducted offline, with negative marking for wrong answers. Held only at Indore exam centres.
  2. Interview Shortlisting — Candidates scoring within 3 times the number of vacancies in their category (based on merit) are called for interview.
  3. Final Merit — Determined by the combined score of the written exam and the interview.
